The expense comes from the extra time your stylist need to do your hair. Weaved generally take longer as they are trickier to do. If you have a lot of hair, and are using more highlights in your weave, then that would cost more as well..I would go get a colour consult from a reputable salon and see what they say. It depends on the salon you go to and your stylist really. Some chage more cause it takes longer and some charge the same price.
Weaving is actuall more highlights than there are doing stripes but it's more natural looking than stripes which i think looks better.

yes, weaving highlights is alot more work than the stripes. takes alot longer. but i think that the stripes look better
