Would a standerd emoish style cut work with all over sort of sandy coulerd highlights ? ? ?

I have very dark brown hair and i want a standerd sort of emo style cut (angled fringe, layers etc.) would it work with skull cap done almost blonde highlights ? ? ? (open 2 suggestions)Would a standerd emoish style cut work with all over sort of sandy coulerd highlights ? ? ?
In my opinion. layered hair looks the best of all cuts highlighted
