OMG my hair is curly and i want highlights so bad or even make my hair look modern.. what hair style can i use?

modern curly hair styles seem to be either very short, or very long. for highlights i would go to a stylist.

and quit listening to people who suggest you just straighten you hair. curly hair is quite nice.OMG my hair is curly and i want highlights so bad or even make my hair look modern.. what hair style can i use?

You can highlight curly hair, all u have to do is brush it straight, once the color gets on it, it will take. Since u have curly hair, the best way to highlight it would be a salon- since they profesionalize in that. but if you dont want to pay a salon price you can totally do it yourself. A great straighner is the amika. I have really frizzy hair and have to put lots of products in it normally so it looks good, but the amika straightens it perfectly, and it stays untill i wash it. Highlightes show better in straight hair. A great modern hair style would be to have long layers and all over hightlighes. Thats if you want to have a ';normal'; hair style. oh, and if you want a good straightner, expect to pay more than walmart price. You pay for what you get.
id suggest either getting something that helps keep hair straight (and straighten it) or keep your hair long and have a side swept fringe and just straighten your fringe.

mabye try just streaking your fringe, as streaks dont really suit curly hair
There are highlighting products for curly hair by Clairol. I would then straighten it with a good flat iron like Chi, Sedu, or a GHD.
