Highlights Magazine For Kids? Please Answer?

I sent in this postcard saying i would get a magazine for free to keep. Now they're charging me. Wat's up wit dat?Highlights Magazine For Kids? Please Answer?
Usually, the small print says that they'll send a free issue and then start a subscription (and charge you) unless you cancel before you get the first issue after the free one.Highlights Magazine For Kids? Please Answer?
They are trying to get you to subscribe to the magazine. You do get a free issue. BUT YOU MUST CANCEL IT. It's going to cost you whatever the going rate of a first class stamp to do that. If you don't cancel it, they can charge you and cause you all kinds of pain. It can damage your credit rating.
they probably had it worded in small print that you would get a trial issue and then if you didn't cancel it would automatically start your subscription. Can you find the hidden picture of the company screwing you? haha I'd just cancel it by calling or emailing them
Don't pay. They will stop sending the magazine. They can't do anything else.
i dont kno but when you find out the answer email it to me b//c a yoga magazine did the same to me =/
just cancel it...

    Highlights Magazine for Kids?

    I subscribed but never sent payment, they sent 2 issues and now I got a letter from a collection agency regarding this unpaid magazine subscription. I am not interested anymore 1st bec my child can get those off the internet and second bec I'd rather spend my $24 on food (bec of the economy, priorities have to change). This is my first collection agency letter and I am stressing out already. How big of a deal is this? I know its my fault for subscribing but I can't afford it at this time. Any suggestions/ input? Pls be kind...thanks!Highlights Magazine for Kids?
    I USED TO LOVE THOSE!

    When I was a child of the 90's, I made a bee cookie from a magazine called Highlights. Where is Recipe?

    They were little yellow cookies that you put almond wings on, and then painted a few stripes on the back in cinnamon. I loved those cookies, and want to make them again. Does anyone have this recipe?When I was a child of the 90's, I made a bee cookie from a magazine called Highlights. Where is Recipe?
    I can't find the recipe you are talking about, but here is the contact information to see if they can send you the recipe. Here is a different bee cookie recipe I found.

    Bumblebee Cookies:

    * 44 sliced almonds

    * 1 egg white, beaten

    * Yellow colored sugar

    * 1 cup vanilla frosting, divided

    * Yellow food coloring

    * 1 package (10 ounces) mint chocolate-covered cookies

    * 44 yellow cake decorator candy flowers

    * 22 white cake decorator candy hearts

    Directions:

    Place almonds on a baking sheet; brush with egg white and sprinkle with yellow sugar. Bake at 350掳 for 3 minutes or until sugar is set.

    Tint 3/4 cup frosting yellow. Cut a small hole in the corner of a pastry or plastic bag; insert #18 star tip. Fill with yellow frosting. Pipe three parallel zigzag lines on each cookie. Position two almonds, sugar side out, on each cookie for wings, propping with additional frosting if needed.

    Fill another pastry or plastic bag with remaining vanilla frosting; cut a small hole in the corner of the bag. Pipe a small amount of frosting to hold candies in place; add flowers for eyes and a heart, pointed side out, for stinger. Yield: 22 cookies.
