A customer wants a hair cut, highlights, and styled...how is this charged?

I have never been to a salon. I looked at a website that charged $45.00 for a haircut, $85.00 for highlights, and $35.00 to style. I called and they said that all three charges would apply. I talked to a lady at my work and she said that the charge is $80.00 for the color and the haircut is thrown in at no charge. Is it different for each salon or how does that all work? Thanks for your help.A customer wants a hair cut, highlights, and styled...how is this charged?
Price varies in several ways. Depends on which salon you go to, upscale, spa's, i.e. (which will charge more) vs a local mom %26amp; pop shop (which tends to be more reasonable).

Your original hair length, %26amp; the texture, can be more work (more $) to cut depending on the cut you want.

The style is usually what products the stylist uses %26amp; if its blow-dried/curled/straightened etc...

As far as the color, some salons alow you to bring your own color %26amp; just charges you for the service. In alot of cases, your hair has to go through several processes before the desired style can be achieved.

Personally I think this lady is getting ripped off. Reasonable prices would be 1/3 the price shes paying. But then if your going to a spot on park ave, thats the going rate.
